Matts Leiderstam at Turku Art Museum 1.10.2010-16.1.2011,
Swedish artist Matts Leiderstam’s first museum exhibition in Finland, ”Seen from Here”, is presented at Turku Art Museum from 1st September to 16th January. The exhibition presents Leiderstam’s earlier works from the years 1998-2008 and an extensive installation created specifically for the exhibition at Turku Art Museum. The theme of the installation, Neanderthal Landscape (2008–2010), is the Düsseldorf School and the interrelations between the artists within its circle.
The exhibition in Turku is part of a tour that started in Kunsthalle Düsseldorf in the spring of 2010. In February it will continue to Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art in Vaasa. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication produced by Kunsthalle Düsseldorf.
