The exhibition Esityksiä – Performances brings together works by eight artists working in different media. The group exhibition uncovers viewpoints about modern man’s relation to contemporary life on constant display. We live our lives as an ongoing performance and a creation of our own stories. Questions about performing and staging are also strongly present in contemporary art. Also the theme of the exhibition refers to a current boundary braking between the performing art forms and the image based visual arts. The physical and thematic setting is completed by the Opera Festival in Savonlinna as a context of the exhibition.
