KALHAMA & PIIPPO’S FIRST ART FAIR PARTICIPATION ONLY A YEAR SINCE THE GALLERY OPENING
Gallery Kalhama&Piippo participates in its first art fair only a little over a year since the gallery’s opening. The gallery has been invited by Italian curator Luigi Fassi to a special section of the ROMA fair, which introduces new galleries from around the world. The main focus of the section is on young artists. FRAME – The Finnish Fund for Art Exchange supports the exhibition.
Kalhama&Piippo will present works by three young, Finnish artists under the headline ”The Hot Cool”. These three artists are media artist Liisa Lounila, painter Hannaleena Heiska and sculptor Jiri Geller. Geller has recently begun his collaboration with Kalhama&Piippo and his first solo show at the gallery will be presented later in the year 2009.
The fair, ROMA Road To Contemporary Art, is open to the public between 2nd and 5th of April. The fair takes place in different locations in the historical centre of Rome. Kalhama&Piippo can be found at the Start Up section at Complesso Monumentale di Santo in Spirito in Sassia, address: Borgo Santo Spirito 2, just next to the St. Peter’s Square.
