Matts Leiderstam at Malmö Art Museum and Wilfried Lentz
Matts Leiderstam participates in two group exhibitions exploring romanticism and the landscape in the spring of 2009. The exhibition at Malmö Art Museum explores romanticism historically and in the contemporary art. Is romanticism today a dead genre in art or do some of the ideas of the romanticism of the 19th century still live on?
At Wilfried Lentz in Rotterdam Leiderstam is one of six artists who all have worked with the mountain as subject matter. The exhibition is titled The Mountain Show and it reflects on the visual, philosophical and symbolic representation of mountains in historical imagery from 1770 until the present day.
